These video interviews with board certified surgeons have become part of the evidence based, educational outreach I provide as a patient advocate. It is part of the work of the nonprofit organization I started, DiepCFoundation.org. Discussions held with surgeons who routinely and successfully perform various types of breast reconstruction provide information for patients to have a shared decision making conversation with their own surgeons.
